Mysuru, August 15, 2021: Sri Go. Madhusudan, a former MLC, delivered an inspiring speech as the chief guest at the 75th Independence Day celebrations held at JSS College of Arts, Science, and Commerce on Ooty Road, Mysuru. Highlighting India’s remarkable progress, he expressed his belief that the country is on the trajectory to emerge as a global leader. The event, commemorating India’s platinum jubilee of Independence, emphasized the importance of unity and collective efforts toward building a stronger and more developed nation.

Reflecting on the significance of India’s freedom struggle, Sri Go. Madhusudan reminded the audience of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters and patriots throughout history. He urged the present generation to delve into the rich tapestry of India’s past, understand the stories behind its independence, and draw inspiration from them. Emphasizing the need for analytical thinking and constructive criticism among students, he encouraged them to contribute to the nation’s growth and resilience.

The event was presided over by Prof. B.A. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the College. Commencing with an invocation by Kum. Sannidhi, the program captivated the audience with its patriotic fervor. Dr. H.C. Honnappa, Principal of JSS Degree College, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, while Sri S. Somashekar, Principal of PU College, delivered a gracious vote of thanks. Dr. L. Vinaykumar, Convener of the National Festivals Committee, skillfully compered the program.

Three couples tied the knot at the monthly mass marriage program held at the Suttur Srimath. Sri Duggahatti Veerabhadraswamy, Convener, Mass Marriages Committee and Heads of various departments of the JSS Institution, Suttur, are seen in the picture.

All the 529 students of the JSS High School, Suttur, who had appeared for the SSLC exams have passed registering 100% results for the school. 254 students have scored above 500 marks out of the total 625. While 149 students have scored distinction, 332 have been promoted with a first class and 40 with second class.

In Kannada medium, Pradeep N. Aravi has scored 606 marks emerging as the topper of the school, followed by Shashank N. with 605 marks. In English medium Kariyappa A. Kubbannavara has scored 599 marks topping the school, followed by Marshad Ali Nadap with 593 marks.

Five students have scored out of out (125/125) in first language Kannada, and 07 in English, 08 in third language Hindi, 02 in Sanskrit, 01 in Science, 08 students in Social Science have scored 100/100 marks, bringing ‘A’ grade to the school.

Administrative officers, coordinating officers, Headmasters, wardens, school and hostel teachers and non-teaching staff have congratulated all the students for bringing good results to the school

Suttur, August 15, 2021: The JSS Educational Institution in Suttur commemorated the 75th Independence Day with a grand celebration on its campus. The event witnessed the hoisting of the tricolor by Sri S.P. Udayashankar, Administrative Officer of JSS Institutions.

The highlight of the ceremony was the enlightening keynote address delivered by Sri Chakravarthi Soolibele, a renowned columnist and social activist. Sri Soolibele reflected on India’s journey, emphasizing the nation’s resilience in overcoming challenges and adversaries both before and after gaining independence. He emphasized the importance of recognizing our strengths, overcoming internal divisions, and harnessing our collective power. Sri Soolibele also expressed pride in India’s progress, highlighting the country’s emergence as the sixth-largest economy globally and its successful handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, which garnered international admiration.

The distinguished heads of various departments of the institution, including Sri G.L. Tripurantaka, Sri Sampath, Dr. M.C. Nataraj, Sri S. Shivaswamy, Sri G. Shivamallu, Smt. C.P. Nirmala, Sri B.M. Siddappa, Sri G.M. Shadakshari, and Sri Mahadevaprasad, graced the occasion with their presence.

The program commenced with a soul-stirring invocation by the school’s talented music teachers, setting the patriotic ambiance for the festivities. Sri M.
