“Yoga and Naturopathy should become an inevitable part of our life” – Thiru RN Ravi

Coimbatore, October 28, 2022: “The role of JSS Mahavidyapeetha for centuries in uplifting the unity, brotherhood and culture of India is appreciable,” observed Sri Thiru N. Ravi, Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu.

He addressed the gathering after inaugurating the JSS Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, Hostel Building, at Navakkarai, in Coimbatore on October 28, 2022, in the divine presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.

However, now we are on the path of regaining the lost glory. Swami Vivekananda had a dream of developing the young generation with wisdom and prudence. But, independent India taught us the attitude of materialism. Spiritualism, which is the biggest gift our country has given should never be forgotten,” he observed.

He also mentioned how yoga has positively impacted the world, and gave a call to all the countrymen to join hands with the Govt. of India in making India a “Vishwaguru,” by combating all the obstacles along the way.

His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, emphasised the relation between humans and nature. “Naturopathy and yoga are one of the ancient treatment methods of India. Ayurveda, is now accepted and adopted by Russia and several other western countries.” He also applauded the work of the Government of India, under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi, in the outreach of traditional medicines and for enlightening the people about the significance of the ayurveda and yoga.

In her address, Chief Guest, Dr. Sudha Seshayyan, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, applauded the activities of the JSS institutions during and after the COVID pandemic. “Humans are cutting off the relationship with nature. We should be grateful for what nature has given to us. Most of the natural calamities that are occuring today are because of the savage acts of humans against nature,” she said.
