The event also spotlighted the significance of Integrated Pest Management to optimize crop yield and  enhance farmer profitability.

Varietal Advantages: Farmers were introduced to the exceptional attributes of Arka Mangala Cowpea and Arka Amogha Hyacinth Beans varieties, celebrated for their early yield, superior quality, and increased market demand. Dr. Vinay G.M., an expert from ICAR JSS KVK, emphasized the potential for higher profits through the adoption of these varieties.

Suttur, January 3, 2024: In a proactive initiative towards promoting responsible agriculture practices, the ICAR JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Suttur, in collaboration with Insecticides India Ltd., conducted a comprehensive three-day program aimed at creating awareness about the discreet usage of insecticides. The event specifically targeted disease control managers and addressed critical aspects of Pests, Disease, and Crop Management in Horticultural Crops, with a focus on the safe and discreet usage of Glyfocyte Insecticide.

Dr. Prasad Y.P., Plant Conservation Scientist, took center stage during the program, enlightening participants about Glyfocyte Insecticide, its usage patterns, and the environmental repercussions associated with its extensive use. Dr. Prasad emphasized the guidelines set by the Central Insecticide Board and Registration Committee, which recommend the use of Glyfocyte Insecticide exclusively in dry lands and horticulture crops.
