Suttur, January 18, 2024: Dr. H.N. Lakshminarasimhamurthy, a distinguished resident of Mandya now residing in the USA, delivered a compelling address at the JSS Residential School in Suttur on January 17, 2024. The esteemed speaker underscored the significance of worshiping Mother Earth and emphasized her role as a benevolent provider of resources and life.
In his address to the students, Dr. Lakshminarasimhamurthy likened Mother Earth to a goddess, urging everyone to recognize and appreciate the manifold gifts she bestows upon humanity. The speaker encouraged students to cultivate essential virtues such as discipline, self-control, human values, and a deep connection with Indian culture.
Highlighting the transformative power of spiritual practices, Dr. Lakshminarasimhamurthy suggested that students could enhance their academic performance and personal growth by incorporating regular prayers, yoga, and meditation into their daily routines. The event also provided an opportunity to acknowledge the remarkable achievements of Dr. Vivekmurthy, the son of Dr. H.N. Lakshminarasimhamurthy. Dr. Vivekmurthy made history by becoming the first Indian to be selected as the ‘Medical Director’ in the United States, the highest position in the field of medicine, during the presidency of Barack Obama.
