JSS Boys High School was established in the year 1958 at Chamarajanagara under the aegis of JSS Mahavidyapeetha. The school aims at the physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of the students by inculcating positive thoughts and morale. The school is situated amidst lush green environment. It has well-structured building and facilities like a modern computer lab, well-stocked library, spacious playground, and other basic amenities.
The admissions are open to the students of 8th, 9th and 10th, and the students are admitted based on the preliminary tests.
The medium of instruction is in Kannada and English
Arts and sports are given par importance with academics. Annually, numerous cultural and sports events are conducted. Every year, several competitions are organized as a part of the birth anniversary of our founding father, His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivaratri Rajendra Mahaswamiji. Science clubs, Art clubs, fine arts forum, etc., are formed to help students improve their knowledge.
School Infrastructure:
- The school building comprises 18 spacious rooms.
- Library: Well-stocked with 7,400 books on various subjects, viz, literature, science, encyclopedia, dictionary, general knowledge, etc. Has subscribed to several magazines and periodicals.
- Laboratories: Well-equipped with a telescope and modern equipment. The computer lab has 10 computer systems.
- Playground: Has facilities to play volleyball, basketball and kho-kho.
- Water: The bore well inside the school premises fulfills the water needs of the students and staff.
- Toilet: Separate toilets for students and teachers/staff.
- Hostel: Located inside the school campus. Students from other places can seek admission to the hostel.
