Admissions and Academics

We offer admission to classes 8, 9 and 10 as per the regulations of the government. The medium of instruction is English. The academic year starts in the last week of May every year.

Here, co-curricular activities and sports go hand in hand with academics. Music, dance, drama, painting, debate, and other art forms are encouraged, and our students actively participate in inter-school and intra-school competitions. Indoor and outdoor sporting materials are provided. Training is given in volleyball, throwball, chess, kho-kho and kabaddi. Special band-set training is also provided for the children.

Notable Alumni

D S, an alumnus of our school participated in the 7^th National ISAFF SPORTS Aerobics and fitness championship 2012 held at Guru Harikrishan Public School, Phallewal Khurd (Sangrur) Punjab, on 7^th to 9^th September 2012 in Step Aerobics event under 17 category and secured bronze medal. He secured a gold medal in Hip-Hop Competition.
Sri Abhijith CD, the batch of 2006-07 SSLC had completed MS and is currently working as a Software Engineer in Germany.
Sri Vinod Nayak S, the SSLC batch of 2009-10 had completed MBBS and is serving as Doctor in Mandya.
Sri Dhruva Kumar PY, the SSLC batch of 2015-16 had completed MBBS and is serving as doctor.

About Us

JSS High School at Metagalli was established in the year 1997 with the blessings and support of His Holiness Jagadguru Dr Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. Our school aims at the overall growth of students by promoting total personality development rather than mere academic achievements. We inculcate social, spiritual, and ethical values within them and help them discover themselves.

The school has an excellent infrastructure with spacious classrooms and a well-stocked library with books related to curriculum and literature. It has a science laboratory, a computer lab, a reading room, and other basic facilities.
