Academic and Admission

Admission is offered to classes 8, 9 and 10. Students are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. The academic year starts in the last week of May.

Extra-curricular activities go hand in hand with academics. We celebrate national festivals and other days of importance, in which students participate enthusiastically. Our students also take part in Pratibha Karanji competitions, inter-school competitions and even in competitions organized during Suttur Jatra Mahotsav. Sports training is given to the students, in which boys are trained in cricket and girls are trained in volleyball. Every year, we organize arts and science exhibitions at our school.

About Us

JSS Shishunala Shariff High School, located in Udayagiri (Mahadevapura Layout), just 4 km from Mysuru city, was established on 1st June 1993 with the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. Initially starting with only 25 students, the school has now grown to house over 168 students.

The school operates in a well-structured building featuring spacious classrooms, a modern computer lab, a fully equipped science laboratory, and excellent sports facilities. It also boasts an impressive library with books covering subjects, literature, and general knowledge.

Our highly experienced and qualified teachers ensure a strong academic foundation, empowering students to build successful futures. Over the years, we have nurtured many talents who now excel in multinational companies and government sectors.

JSSMVP also manages a High School and a Pre-University College in Udayagiri. In the year 2023-24, the school secured 87.50% results in SSLC.
