- Medium of Instruction : From 8th to 10th – Kannada. 9th and 10th – English.
- The academic year starts in the last week of May.
Students are exposed to a variety of cultural and sports activities. Arts, Music, dance, drama, fine arts, and other creative activities are encouraged. Students are trained in folk dance, drama, recitation, singing and group dance etc. Sports like Kho-Kho, volleyball, throw ball, and cricket are encouraged. Students participate in Zonal Level, Taluk Level, District Level sports meets and Jathra sports. We also organize Science Exhibition for the school children. Students partake in Cluster Level and Suttur Jathra Mahotsav Exhibition.

JSS High School in Saragur was established in the year 1983 with the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivaratri Rajendra Mahaswamiji. The school is surrounded by a tranquil environment with an excellent infrastructure. At the time of formation, the school had only 41 students. With each passing year, our school excelled in academics and co-curricular activities and attracted more students.
The school concentrates on the comprehensive growth of the students and helps them to become responsible, compassionate, and honest individuals, who work for the progression of fellow beings.
Our school also has an excellent infrastructure required for the development of the students. The classrooms are spacious with provision for ventilation, a laboratory with modern equipment, and I T lab with computers and internet, a library with more than 1500 books, indoor and outdoor sporting materials and other basic facilities are provided here. The school has been registering good results in SSLC examinations.
