About JSS High School, Norway, Belur
The High School in Norway, Belur was established in the year 1992, on request of Nadu Patel Mahanthegowda on behalf of villagers to His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. At the time of inception, there were only 99 students, and it was running in the Grama Panchayat building of the village. In 2001, the school acquired a new building with facilities that supports teaching and extra-curricular activities. The school infrastructure includes well-ventilated classrooms, a modern computer lab, a state-of-the-art science lab, a library and other facilities required for arts and sports activities. We aim to provide quality and value-based education to the rural children and prepare them to be the finest of individuals to lead the society of tomorrow.
Admissions and Academics:
Admissions are offered to 8th, 9th and 10th classes as per the rules laid by the Govt. of Karnataka. The academic year starts in the last week of May, and the medium of instruction is in Kannada.
