H.D. Kote, July 13, 2021: The ICAR JSS Krishi Vignan Kendra, Suttur, had organized a training program on the usage of Nano Urea in tomato crop, at Maagudilu village in H.D. Kote Taluk.
Dr. G.M. Vinay, Horticulture Scientist, JSS KVK, Suttur informed the participants about the improved cultivation methods in tomato crop, nutrition management, soil and water management, awareness about Nano urea, its usage, and benefits, etc. “Using Nano urea doubles the farmers’ income, 500 ml of nano urea is equal to 50 kg urea. 4 ml of nano urea should be mixed in 1 ltr water and sprayed to the crop 30 days after sowing. Spraying it again after 15 days will help the crop in gaining nitrogen nutrients that helps in getting the expected amount of yield,” he explained.
Sri J.G. Rajanna, Soil Science Assistant, provided information about the improvement of soil health.
Sri Nagaraj, facilitator of the training program, and 25 progressive farmers took part in the training program.
