H.D. Kote, July 10, 2021: The ICAR JSS Krishi Vignan Kendra, Suttur had organized a program at the Maagudilu village in H.D. Kote taluk to educate the farmers about the new paddy variety MSN-99.
Sri Shamraj, Cultivation Scientist, JSS KVK, Suttur, explained to the farmers about the improved cultivation measures, integrated nutrient management in paddy, soil, and water management, and improved paddy varieties. He informed that the MSN-99 variety is developed as an alternative to the small rice variety RNR-15048, and this new variety will provide yield sooner and is suitable during both the onset and last rains. Hence, it helps to prevent loss of yield. The new paddy variety MSN-99 was distributed to the farmers on this occasion.
