Suttur, May 05, 2025: JSS High School, Suttur, has recorded a commendable 78% pass percentage in the SSLC examinations for the academic year 2024–25. Out of the 559 students who appeared for the exams, 433 successfully passed. Among them, 92 students scored above 500 marks, reflecting strong academic performance.

In the English medium section, Shantaveeraswamy secured the highest marks in the school with 606 out of 625, leading the batch. The overall pass percentage in the English medium stream stood at an impressive 86%.

In the Kannada medium section, Akshay Sanjeeva Billur topped with 585 out of 625 marks, and the stream registered a 71% pass percentage.

Another noteworthy mention is Isneha Chingam from Manipur, who scored 488 marks.

The school management committee members, coordinating officers, department heads, headmasters, teaching and non-teaching staff, wardens, and caretakers have extended their heartfelt congratulations to all the students who successfully passed the SSLC examinations.

Suttur, April 30, 2025: “Lives of youth should be based on values,” stated Smt. Nirmala Mathpathi, Administrative Officer, CAVA, during the valedictory function of the youth camp held at Sri Sutturkshetra.

In her address, Smt. Mathpathi emphasized the significance of value-based living, especially for the youth. “Adopting values is not only important for personal growth but also for the well-being of society. Good culture is the only medicine to overcome mental deformities. Youth should receive value-based education and cultivate traits like mutual respect, cooperation, and tolerance,” she said. She further encouraged the participants to seek appropriate guidance and mentorship to achieve their goals. “Through this camp, participants will benefit not only from insightful sessions but also from the cultural values they imbibe,” she added.

Sri M. Lekhan, Assistant Commissioner, Income Tax Department, also addressed the gathering. He remarked that camps are effective in exposing youth to positive influences. “Never lose hope, even in the face of failure. Discipline and hard work are key to success. More than merely scoring marks, students should aim to deeply understand their subjects and apply that knowledge meaningfully,” he said.

Sri Nityananda Vivekavamshi of Viveka Vidyavahini stressed the role of spirituality in Indian culture. “Spirituality has a profound place in our traditions. Knowledge leads to spiritual realization, and sacred texts like the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, and other religious scriptures play a vital role in our lives. Indian culture is deeply rooted in our customs and values. Friendship and sacrifice should be the ultimate goals in life,” he noted.

Kum. Harika Manjunath, orator, shared her views on patriotism, asserting that it stems from self-respect. She urged the youth to contribute actively to the nation’s development. “India’s contributions to the world in the field of knowledge are vast. Our traditions, culture, and history are unique. The Trividha Dasoha (three-fold giving) practiced by religious institutions reflects our rich cultural heritage. When the world was in darkness, India remained a beacon of knowledge. If our youth work with sincerity and purity of intention, we can truly build a strong nation,” she stated.

Suttur, April 28, 2025: “Camps are helpful for personality development,” observed Dr. Somnath, Internal Finance Advisor, Public Works Department, Government of Karnataka. He was speaking at the valedictory function of the youth camp held at Sri Sutturkshetra on April 28, 2025.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Somnath emphasized that every student possesses some form of strength, and it is the responsibility of education to recognize and nurture that strength. He pointed out that education should not be confined to merely obtaining a job but should pave the way for the holistic development of an individual. “Education enables students to lead a life with self-confidence. The contributions of maths in the education sector are immense. Suttur Math has made a mark by offering not just quality education but also instilling good culture among students,” he noted.

In her address, Smt. H.N. Geethamba, Assistant Director, advised the students to make good decisions at the right time to secure a bright future. “Social and financial conditions are not hurdles to achievement. It is your determination to choose the right and good path, coupled with hard work and perseverance, that will lead you to success,” she said.

Headmaster Sri S.M. Siddarajappa encouraged the students to utilize their time effectively. “Proper time management should be your focus. Be patient and tolerant in your work until you reach your goal. Anger is our enemy; staying away from it is important. Remember, only hard work leads to success,” he advised.

Teacher Sri Ashok Hanchali, speaking to the students, highlighted the pride of being born in India. “India is our motherland, and we are truly fortunate. Dream big, walk the path of honesty, and work hard to achieve your goals,” he urged.

Suttur, April 26, 2025: “Knowledge is essential for a quality life,” observed Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha. He was speaking at the inauguration of a youth camp held at Suttur Srikshetra on April 26, 2025.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Betsurmath remarked, “Today is an era of choices. The youth have several options across various sectors. However, they should not become slaves to a materialistic lifestyle. Instead, they must nurture good thoughts and build a meaningful future. Learning and acquiring knowledge is a continuous journey. Develop the habit of reading. Honest and consistent efforts are key to turning dreams into reality. Youth should always remain active, adopt strong values, and strive for success in their lives.”

Prof. Morabada Mallikarjuna, Director, Collegiate Education and Publishing Department, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, also addressed the gathering. He urged students to remain aware of the sensitive aspects of life. Emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility and cleanliness, he said, “Maintaining good personal hygiene begins with keeping our surroundings clean. Awareness forms the foundation of life. By embracing discipline, tolerance, virtues, and faith, one can become a good human being.”

Dr. Nandeesh Hanche, Assistant Professor, echoed these sentiments by quoting the Sanskrit shloka, “Satyam Vada Dharmam Chara” and said that it reflects the ultimate truth of life. “Our lives should be rooted in values. Every person experiences darkness at some point; it is by following values that we overcome it. The inner conflict between evil and honesty is shaped by our value system, which evolves over time. We must adapt accordingly. When our actions align with our words, we enhance our dignity,” he stated.

Sri Niranjan Babu, Assistant Professor, Maharani College, Mysuru, emphasized the importance of leadership. “Instilling leadership qualities in youth is crucial for national development. Effective leadership is essential to bring about political, social, cultural, and economic change. A leader should be brave enough to face challenges and capable of resolving them. Good behaviour, a balanced temperament, and the ability to take responsibility for failures while crediting others for success are qualities of a true leader,” he noted.

The camp saw enthusiastic participation from 264 attendees. The day began with a mass prayer and yoga session in the morning. Participants engaged in traditional desi games during the evening, followed by a prayer and cultural programs.

The program commenced with an invocation by Mansa. Dr. N. Rajendra Prasad delivered the welcome address, while Dr. H.M. Mahesh proposed the vote of thanks. The event was compered by Smt. Na. Nagalambika.
