Suttur, April 28, 2025: “Camps are helpful for personality development,” observed Dr. Somnath, Internal Finance Advisor, Public Works Department, Government of Karnataka. He was speaking at the valedictory function of the youth camp held at Sri Sutturkshetra on April 28, 2025.
Addressing the participants, Dr. Somnath emphasized that every student possesses some form of strength, and it is the responsibility of education to recognize and nurture that strength. He pointed out that education should not be confined to merely obtaining a job but should pave the way for the holistic development of an individual. “Education enables students to lead a life with self-confidence. The contributions of maths in the education sector are immense. Suttur Math has made a mark by offering not just quality education but also instilling good culture among students,” he noted.
In her address, Smt. H.N. Geethamba, Assistant Director, advised the students to make good decisions at the right time to secure a bright future. “Social and financial conditions are not hurdles to achievement. It is your determination to choose the right and good path, coupled with hard work and perseverance, that will lead you to success,” she said.
Headmaster Sri S.M. Siddarajappa encouraged the students to utilize their time effectively. “Proper time management should be your focus. Be patient and tolerant in your work until you reach your goal. Anger is our enemy; staying away from it is important. Remember, only hard work leads to success,” he advised.
Teacher Sri Ashok Hanchali, speaking to the students, highlighted the pride of being born in India. “India is our motherland, and we are truly fortunate. Dream big, walk the path of honesty, and work hard to achieve your goals,” he urged.
Participants S. Mounashri, M.R. Vedanth, N. Neha, P. Ananya, L. Roopa, and S. Arun shared their experiences of the camp, expressing their appreciation.
Sri M.G. Basavanna presented the camp report, and M. Tanmayi rendered the invocation. Smt. N. Pushpa welcomed the gathering, Sri R. Prabhuswamy delivered the vote of thanks, and Smt. C. Rajamma efficiently compered the program.
