Shravanamasa pooja and valedictory of discourse and 106th Jayanthi Mahotsav of HH Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji

Mysuru, September 6, 2021: Shravanamasa Poojanusthaana and valedictory of the discourse program and a program on the occasion of the 106th Jayanthi Mahotsav of HH Paramapujya Jagadguuru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji has been organized on September 7, 2021, at 6.00 pm at the Suttur Math branch in Mysuru, in the divine presence of Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.
Dr. B.V. Vasanthkumar, Dr. C.G. Ushadevi, Dr. M. Krishnegowda, and Dr. K. Anantaramu will participate in the valedictory function. Prizes will be distributed to eligible essays presented by participating in the online and offline discourses.

Special pooja at Suttur on Sept. 7

Suttur, September 7, 2021: Special poojas will be held at the Shrine of HH Paramapujya Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, in Suttur, as part of the 106th Janathi celebrations, on September 7, 2021, Amavasya day. All the devotees who come to the shrine are asked to strictly follow COVID precautionary measures.

Report of Workshop on Leadership Skills

A Workshop was organized by JSS School of Nursing Mysuru on “leadership skills” training for 3rd year GNM students on 30/08/2021 at Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Bhavana.The main objectives of this workshop were to improve leadership skills, to enhance good communication, interpersonal skills for the overall personality development and to formulate and implement effective leadership strategies.

The workshop was started by invocation song followed by inauguration by the dignitaries on dais.The resource person for the workshop was DR. Jagananath K.Dange professor and chairman of department of studies and research in education Kuvempu University, Shimoga. The inaugural keynote address was given by Mrs. D.N. Renukadevi Principal, she emphasized that this workshop is very important to have a impressive personality and also to inculcate leadershipskills, communication and inter personal skills. This should help the students to be productive in the workplace and build strong and positive relationship with their colleagues and complete team projects smoothly and effectively.

Total three session were organised, namely, “Personality Development”, leadership and soft skills, and communication skills.At the end the valedictory programme was conducted,the workshop report was presented by Mrs. Simi Thomas, Nursing tutor. Later Mr. Nagendra and Miss. Bharathi of III year students had shared their experience about the workshop. The programme was compered by Mrs .Manasa M, Nursing Tutor.

Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony – 2021

The Lamp lighting and Oath taking ceremony of 33rd batch of GNM Nursing Students of JSS School of Nursing, Mysuru was held on 26.8.2021 at Sri. Rajendra Bhavana.

The programme was commenced with an invocation song, after welcome the dignitaries on the dais lighted the lamp and inaugurated the ceremony. The dignitaries along with the faculty lit the lamps of 95 Nursing students which symbolizes, wisdom, knowledge and compassion followed by recitation of oath, pledging themselves to uphold the duties as a professional nurse, administered by Mrs. D.N. Renukadevi, Principal. A melodious and soothing song “ Shine a light” added solemnity of the programme. Later Chief guest Sri R. Mahesh, Director, JSS Medical Education, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru addressed the gathering and firstly he congratulated all the budding nurses for receiving oath. He suggested that the students should be responsible in the period of student life. He appreciated all the frontline staff nurses who worked hard during this COVID – 19 and who have received a great appreciation from various sectors. He also expressed that JSS institution has an objective of providing quality training and it must be utilized by the students for better future. He motivated the students to make effective use of available resources provided by the institution and imbibe the sanctity of the profession. Mrs. Neetha Dalvi S. highlighted the significance of the day.

Smt. C.P. Nirmala, Headmistress, In-charge, participated in the ‘Nishtaa Training,’ program held at the Carmel School in Nanjangud for Headmasters, on 02.08.2021.

Teachers of the aided schools took part in the ‘Nishtaa Training,’ program held at the Carmel School, in Nanjnagud, on 05.08.2021 and 06.08.2021.

A workshop on ‘Management of Educational Documents,’ was conducted for the benefit of JSS School teachers, on 05.08.2021. The workshop was organized by the School Education Division, JSS MVP.

In her introductory speech, Sri G.L. Tripurantaka, Coordinating Officer, JSS Institutions advised the teachers to maintain required documents for the subjects and lessons according to the new National Education Policy. “Teachers should come up with innovative methods so as the students can easily understand what teachers teach. It is appreciable that all the teachers of the school are striving for the development of the students. If you adopt to the NEP you will become a model for the teachers of all other schools. Like the students of this school who have drawn the attention at the State and National level through their academic and extra-curricular activities, your teaching should become a model for other schools,” she opined.

In his address, Sri B.A. Rajashekara, Director, School Eduation Division, JSS MVP expressed his view that if the teachers understand the way of achieving educational aim it will be more meaningful. “As learning is continuous, the teachers should adopt to the new teaching methods and teach something new to the students every day. Activity based learning will always influence the students. Hence, the teachers should try new methods, he said.

Sri H.V. Sheshagirirao, Deputy Director, School Division, JSS MVP expressed his view that that the teachers should plan before taking the lessons, as it would help them.

Sri S.C. Channabasappa and Sri H.S. Nagaraju, Subject Analysts spoke about lesson plan and preparation of notes. Sri N. Renukaswamy, Education Officer who had shouldered the repsonsibility of supervising the workshop provided the required guidance to the teachers.

The participating teachers prepared lesson plan and notes during the afternoon session. Headmasters and teachers of the JSS High School and Higher Primary School participated in the workshop.

Earlierthe program commenced with an invocation by Kum. Sahana. Co-teacher Smt. Kavyashri gave a vote of thanks and Sri M. Rajashekaramurthy welcomed and compered.

A students enrolment campaign was conducted from 01.07.2021 to 03.07.2021 at Suttur

A students enrolment campaign was conducted from 01.07.2021 to 03.07.2021 at Suttur. Teachers of the JSS Educational Institution visited several villages including Kaahahalli, Gejjaganahalli, Alatturu, Haniyamballi, Nagarle, Sarguru, Suttur, Biligere, Jeemaranahalli, Bilugali, Hoskote and Tummanerale and enrolled the students.

A bridge course and exam was conducted from 01.07.2021 to 30.01.2021 for 8th, 9th and 10th standard students and they were provided certificates.

8th Standard ‘A’ section student Amrutha R. has passed in the NMMS exams held on 02.07.2021. She will be receiving a sum of Rs. 12,000/- scholarship annually for the next four years.

Smt. Suma, who was working as an ‘Ayaah’ in our school was promoted as an Assistant of the JSS Nursing School, Chamarajanagara and transferred.

The SSCL exams for this year was held for two days on 19.07.2021 and 22.07.2021.

Gandha Gambheer, a 9th Standard student studying at the JSS Residential school in Suttur lost both his parents recently. While his father died due to heart attack, his mother lost her life due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Subject teachers of the school participated in a webinar organized for the benefit of Mathematics, Science and Social Science teachers, by the Office of the BEO, on 30.08.2021.

Language teachers of our school took part in the webinar organized for the benefit of Kannada, English, Hindi, Sanskrit language teachers, organized by the Office of the BEO, on 31.08.2021. The BEO discussed about the measures required to be taken to improve the classroom education and results.
