Mysuru, March 13, 2023: The Graduates’ Day program held at JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science in Mysuru was an important event in the lives of the graduating students. The program was graced by the presence of Smt. C. Shikha, Commissioner, Commercial Tax Department, Govt. of Karnataka, and His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.
In her address, Smt. Shikha advised the students to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals. She encouraged them to be always active and innovative and think about new innovations while staying away from negative thoughts. Smt. Shikha urged the students to always think about how and what they can contribute to their country and places where they are staying. She also cautioned them against misusing social media and the internet, urging them to use these tools judiciously.
The program saw the felicitation of 65 meritorious students with mementoes and certificates, and 10 students were awarded various endowment prizes. A total of 1054 students, including both UG and PG courses, received their graduation certificates, and C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, gave the pledge to the new graduates.
The event began with an invocation by Kum. Sannidhi and Kum. Vasavi Bhat, and the welcome address was delivered by B.A. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the college. Dr. N. Rajendra Prasad hosted the program, and the vote of thanks was given by Principal Prof. M.P. Vijayendra Kumar. Dr. B. Prabhuswamy, College Examination Controlling Officer, was also present on the dais.
