Suttur, July 14, 2026: Sixteen Mallakhambh students from Suttur JSS School participated in the State-Level Mallakhambh Sports Festival held in Bengaluru and secured several individual and team honours.
The competition was organised jointly by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Bengaluru Urban District, and the Karnataka Amateur Mallakhambh Association, Lakshmeshwar.
In the individual events, Manoj secured first place. Sandeep and Ayush won second place, while Samarth secured third place.
In the team events, the boys’ under-14 team won first place. The boys’ above-14 team also secured first place, while the girls’ above-14 team won third place.
The management board, Headmaster and staff of the institution congratulated the award-winning students and Mr. Dundappa Dasanna, the Mallakhambh instructor who trained them, on their outstanding achievement.
