Suttur JSS Higher Primary School Shines at JSS Inter-Institutions Sports Meet

School Bags Overall Prize with Exceptional Performances in Track, Field and Group Events

Suttur, Nov. 28, 2025: The JSS Higher Primary School, Suttur, emerged victorious by securing the Overall Prize at the three-day JSS Inter-School Sports Meet held at Suttur Srikshetra, organised in memory of His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Shri Shivaratri Rajendra Mahaswamiji. The boys category witnessed remarkable performances as Kumarn Dhananjit Mythai secured second place in the 100 metres and first place in both long jump and high jump, while Nangwan Odang clinched first place in discus throw and second place in the 200 metres. Sanaiwaangso and Mallikarjun won second and third places respectively in the 400 metres, followed by Janto Wangso and Appa Wangpaas, who finished first and second in the 600 metres race. Pukaaranambaa secured second place in shot put, high jump and discus throw, while Nangsam finished third in shot put. The 4×100 metres relay team led by Sangamesh brought additional glory by securing first place. With a total of 13 points, Kumarn Dhananjit Mythai was declared the Individual Champion and honoured with a medal and cash prizes. In group events, the boys’ team bagged second place in Kabaddi, contributing to the school securing the Team Prize with 52 points.

The girls category also showcased exceptional talent, with Anju finishing third in the 100 metres, Usha securing second place in the 200 metres, and Amrutha and Rutika claiming first and second places in the 400 metres. Amruta won first place in the 600 metres, while Habanalungdo excelled with first place in discus throw and shot put, and second place in high jump. Ginevi followed with second place in both discus throw and shot put, and Nungstwai secured second place in long jump. The girls’ 4×100 metres relay team, led by Usha, clinched first place. With an impressive 13 points, Habanalungdo was declared the Individual Champion in the girls category and received a medal and cash prize. In group games, the girls’ team secured first place in Kabaddi, where Habanalungdo was also awarded the Best Player title along with a cash prize. The girls category secured a total of 49 points, and the school proudly achieved first place in the parade event as well.

The administrative officers, headmasters and staff of Suttur JSS Institutions have extended their heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants for their outstanding achievements and for bringing honour to the school.
