Students should acquire multi-tasking skills to get priority in jobs: Mr. Utsav Agarwal

Mysuru, December 19, 2022:  Mr. Utsav Agarwal, Director of Boruka Fabcons Pvt. Ltd., shared valuable insights with students during the ‘Industry-Institute Interaction and Students Skill Development program’ held at JSS College of Arts, Commerce, and Science in Mysuru on December 17, 2022. The event, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industries – Industry Institute Interaction Panel (CII-III), Mysuru Zone, aimed to foster engagement between academia and industry.

During his address, Mr. Agarwal emphasized the significance of acquiring multi-tasking skills and maintaining transparency in communication to stand out in the competitive job market. He encouraged students to cultivate a positive mindset, work diligently, translate ideas into action, and continuously update their skills to thrive in the evolving global economy. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of personal branding as a means to seize opportunities.

Mr. Santosh Gundapi, Managing Director of AT & S India Pvt. Ltd., Mysuru, delivered a keynote address, wherein he advised students to identify their areas of interest and pursue education with a positive attitude. He encouraged them to nurture creativity, develop a passion for learning, build self-confidence, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the recruitment and interview processes to effectively showcase their skills. Mr. Gundapi also highlighted the significance of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between industries and educational institutions.

Prof. B. V. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the College, encouraged students to actively participate in such interaction programs to benefit from the experiences and insights shared by industry experts. He also discussed various initiatives undertaken by the Central and State Governments to enhance the skills of graduates.

The program commenced with an invocation by Ms. Radhika Hardikar, and Dr. N. Rajendra Prasad, the IQAC Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Prakash, the Placement Officer, facilitated the program.

The interaction program saw the participation of 50 teachers and 500 students, fostering meaningful discussions and exchanges between academia and industry.
