Suttur, August 30, 2024: Speaking on the 27th day of the Shravana Masa discourse at Sri Sutturkshetra, Sri H.B. Devanna emphasized the importance of performing one’s Karma (actions) without attachment to the results. He explained that individuals should prioritize their duties without expectation and maintain a pure path towards their goals. Citing Mahatma Gandhi’s adherence to non-violence, he underscored the value of simplicity and a mindset that embraces both success and failure equally.
Sri Devanna further reflected on the fleeting nature of time, comparing it to a broken pearl that can never be regained, and urged participants not to delay doing good deeds. He emphasized that success and failure, fame and infamy, happiness and sorrow are all inevitable parts of life, and that cultivating an attitude of acceptance leads to greater contentment.
Sri D.M. Siddalingaswamy contributed to the program by reciting a poem, while Sri Sampath, Sri D.V. Honnappa, Sri N. Sambhava, Kum. M.S. Savitha, Smt. Mahadevamma, and Sri G.G. Mahadevappa performed the sevartha. The program, which began with an invocation, attracted numerous devotees and spiritual aspirants who actively participated.
