Mahashivarathri Festival to be held at Suttur with the Divine Presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji

Mysuru, February 16, 2023: The Mahashivarathri Festival will be held at Suttur on February 18, Saturday, with the divine presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. The festival will feature special poojas at the Adijagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji shrine from 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, as well as poojas at several other temples, including Sri Mahadeshwara, Sri Someshwara, Sri Veerabhdadreshwara, Sri Nanjundeshwara, and Sri Narayanaswamy.

In addition to the poojas, a range of cultural programs will take place throughout the night. Students from the JSS Residential School in Suttur will perform music and dance at 5.30 pm, while Lasya and team will present devotional and folk songs at 8.00 pm. Keertana Bhaskara Sri B.S. Gangadhar Achar will lead a Shivakatha Sankeertane at 10.30 pm, followed by Neelagarara Mela by Sri Siddappaji Neelagarara Sangha of Ramasamudra at 1.00 am and a Bhajan program by Sri Basaveshwara Bhajan team of Horalawadi at 5.00 am.

Various bhajan programs by different teams will also take place between 6.00 am and 6.00 pm on Saturday in the Sri Math and temple premises. Additionally, a special pooja will be held on February 20, 2023.
