School Anniversary Celebrated at JSS Residential School, Suttur

Talented students of Suttur JSS Residential School were felicitated during the school anniversary celebrations by Mr. Malleswamy, Secretary of KSEAB, Bengaluru, Mr. Malangi Suresh, Head Master, Mr. Suresh K, Assistant Project Coordinator, Dr. Jayappa Honnali, literary writer, and the Heads of various departments of the Institution.

Suttur, January 24, 2026: The school anniversary ceremony was celebrated with enthusiasm at JSS Residential School, Suttur, in the presence of distinguished guests, faculty members, students, and staff.

Addressing the gathering at the valedictory ceremony, Mr. Malleswamy, Secretary of the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board, Bengaluru, emphasized the importance of time consciousness, reading habits, and passion for learning among students. He remarked that youth power is the strength of India and stated that the nation is steadily progressing toward becoming a global leader. He expressed pride that today’s students have the opportunity to become citizens of a developed India.

The chief guest, Dr. Jayappa Honnali, President of the All India Sharana Sahitya Parishat, Mysuru, advised students to adopt strong values from childhood and move steadily toward their life goals. Stressing the importance of time, he said that ignoring time leads to missed opportunities, and urged students to lead a beautiful and meaningful life. He highlighted that true education lies in seeing another human being as oneself and reminded students that “life without remarks is more important than marks.” He encouraged them to become owners of good qualities rather than wealth.

After distributing prizes to the winners of various competitions, Mr. Malangi Suresh, Headmaster of Government Higher Primary School, Keelanapura, shared his personal experiences as a student at Suttur Shrikshetra. He noted that the institution instills independent living and courage, enabling students to develop cultured values and grow into responsible citizens.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Suresh K, Assistant Project Coordinator, DDPI Office, Mysuru, stated that Suttur Shrikshetra is renowned for its food, education, and healthcare facilities. He emphasized that a healthy society can be built only by nurturing human values alongside technological development and urged everyone to remain time-conscious.

During the programme, the school’s academic and sports report was presented. Prizes were distributed to meritorious students and winners of various sports and cultural competitions. The celebration concluded with cultural programmes presented by the students.

The event was attended by the heads of the institution Mr. G.L. Tripurantaka, Mr. Veerabhadraiah, Mr. M. Rajashekar, Mr. G. Shivamallu, Mr. M. Gu. Basavanna, Mr. G.M. Shadakshari, Mr. G. Shivaswamy, and Mrs. P. Sushila.

The programme began with a prayer by the students. Mr. M. Mallesh delivered the welcome address, Mrs. N. Nagalakshmi offered greetings, and Mrs. Bindu K.M. compered the programme.
