Suttur, Sept. 26, 2020: Kum. Rajeshwari Gaekwad, a prominent player of the Indian Woman Cricket team and an alumna of JSS School, Suttur, paid a visit to Suttur Srikshetra on September 26, 2020, Saturday.
Upon receiving felicitation from JSS Free Residential School, Rajeshwari Gaekwad expressed her gratitude and shared her journey. She said, “During my time at this school, I may not have been particularly interested in sports, but I played kho-kho due to the encouragement of my physical instructor. It helped me gain physical fitness. By utilizing this opportunity properly, I was able to become a member of the Indian National Woman Cricket team and achieve something.”
“Coming from a rural background, I have been able to achieve this success with the blessings of Pujya Swamiji. I would like to take this moment to express my gratitude to JSS Institutions, which laid the foundation for my journey. It is a great honor and joy for me to visit Suttur Srikshetra today,” she added.
Sri B.R. Rajashekar, Director of the Physical Education Department at JSS Educational Institution, Suttur, felicitated Rajeshwari Gaekwad during the event. Sri G.L. Tripurantaka enlightened the students about Rajeshwari Gaekwad’s achievements. Heads of various departments and staff members of the institution were also present.
