Suttur, September 8, 2026: Pure and unwavering devotion can earn the grace of the Lord, said Prof. H.B. Devanna while delivering his discourse on the 28th day of the Shravana month programme at Suttur Srikshetra on September 8.
Prof. Devanna said that the Lord is omnipresent and exists in every atom and particle of the universe. However, the light of knowledge is essential to realise His presence. He said that the light of knowledge is greater than physical light, as it purifies the heart and guides a person towards liberation.
Illustrating the power of pure devotion, Prof. Devanna narrated the story of Bacharasara of Kalyana, a great Sharan and ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. Bacharasara spent his life in constant meditation on Shiva, firmly believing that there was no other God
