About Us

JSS Balajagath High School was established in the 1989–90 academic year on the JSS Balajagath campus. Through a holistic approach, the school fosters the all-round development of its students, equipping them to meet the challenges of the wider world.

Located in the heart of Mysuru, the institution offers comprehensive amenities to support student growth. Its infrastructure includes well-ventilated classrooms, a well-stocked library, a modern computer lab, and a fully equipped science laboratory. Cultural and sports activities receive equal emphasis alongside academics.

Thanks to these concerted efforts, JSS Balajagath High School has consistently excelled in academic performance and attracted an increasing number of students. Over the years, our alumni have distinguished themselves in various fields, bringing pride and honor to their alma mater.

Academics and Admission

The students are admitted to 8^th,9^th and 10^th standards based on their performance in written tests and interviews.
Admissions start in the last week of May.

Activities

The Students’ Union actively organizes a variety of cultural and sports competitions throughout the year. Arts, music, craft, dance, and drama are encouraged, with students showing remarkable enthusiasm in participating in events conducted by the Arts Club, Science Club, and Language Club. In addition to in-house activities, our students regularly take part in inter-school competitions and Pratibha Karanji events organized by the state government, earning numerous accolades and recognitions.

Each year, the school also hosts a Science Exhibition, where students present innovative experiments, models, and educational charts—developed under the expert guidance of their teachers—fostering curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking.
