JSS Residential School Teacher Selected for National-Level Science Fair

Mr. Vinod Kumar, a physics teacher at JSS Residential School, Suttur Math, took part in the State level Science Exhibition competition held at Dharwad by showcasing creative models in physics and a model of being friendly to the differently-abled. He has been selected to represent the state at the National-Level South India Science Fair Competition, to be held in Hyderabad from January 18 to January 23, 2026.

Suttur, January 8, 2026: The State-Level Science Exhibition Competition for High School Teachers was held at Dharwad, organized by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Dharwad, in association with the School Education and Literacy Department, Government of Karnataka, the State Education and Research Training Department, the Directorate of Urdu and Other Minority Schools, the Office of the Commissioner, and the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Bengaluru.

Teachers from 35 educational districts across Karnataka participated in the exhibition, presenting innovative models across disciplines such as Science and Technology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Genetic Technology.

Mr. V. Vinod Kumar, Physics Teacher at JSS Residential School, Suttur Math, presented creative physics models, including an innovative model titled “Friendly for the Specially abled.” His exhibit, which simplifies complex physics concepts and enables elderly and mentally challenged individuals to control electrical appliances such as televisions, lights, fans, and air conditioners using a single remote control, received wide appreciation.

Based on his outstanding presentation, Mr. Vinod Kumar has been selected to represent the state at the National-Level South India Science Fair Competition, to be held in Hyderabad from January 18 to January 23, 2026.

The management, principals, and staff of JSS Residential School have congratulated him on this significant achievement and lauded his innovative contribution to teaching and inclusive technology.
