JSS Higher Primary School Triumphs at Hobli-level Sports Meet

The students of the JSS Higher Primary School, Suttur, took part in the Hobli-level sports meet, organized by the Govt. Higher Primary School, Haropura, in association with the Department of School Education and Literacy, Nanjangud and secured overall prize. Shri G.L. Suttur, August 22, 2024: The students of JSS Higher Primary School, Suttur, have once again proven their athletic prowess by securing the overall prize at the Hobli-level Sports Meet. The event was organized by the Government Higher Primary School, Haropura, in collaboration with the Department of School Education and Literacy, Nanjangud. JSS Higher Primary School emerged victorious with an impressive total of 149 points.

In the Boys category, the school clinched first place in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, and Ball Badminton tournaments, and secured second place in Throwball. The Girls team also showcased exceptional performance, winning first place in Throwball, Kabaddi, and Ball Badminton, and earning second place in Kho-Kho and Volleyball tournaments.

In athletics, Beetaraj was a standout performer in the Boys category, winning first place in high jump, 100m running, and long jump, and was crowned the Individual Champion. Mohithkumar Mahato also emerged as an Individual Champion, taking first place in 200m running, shot put, and discus throw. Other notable performances in the Boys category included Mahantesh Nayak securing first place in the 400m running event and Guruprasad taking first place in the 600m running event.

In the Girls category, Sohaka secured first place in shot put and second place in discus throw. Lysaram Jeenalakshmi Devi won first place in high jump and second place in long jump. Anju achieved second place in the 400m running event, while Sara secured second place in the 600m running event.

The administrative officer, heads of various departments, headmasters, and teaching staff of JSS Higher Primary School extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the achievers for their outstanding performances.
