Mallikarjun, Honorable Minister for Mines, Geology, and Horticulture. He was speaking at the inaugural function of the Smt. Parvathamma and Dr. Shamanuru Shivashankarappa Guest House, held at Sri Suttur Kshetra.
His Holiness Jagadguru Shri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, in his blessings, praised Dr. Shamanuru Shivashankarappa’s immense contributions to the government and his party. “Dr. Shivashankarappa has been a pillar of strength, particularly during challenging times for his party. Despite having the potential to hold higher political positions, he has shown humility and a lack of personal ambition. The construction of this guest house stands as a testament to his generosity and serves as an example of how one should use the wealth granted by God for the benefit of society,” observed His Holiness.
After receiving a felicitation, Dr. Shamanuru Shivashankarappa shared his thoughts on philanthropy, emphasizing the importance of selfless service. “True charity involves dedicating time, energy, and resources for the betterment of society. My contributions to philanthropic organizations are driven by this belief, and I consider it a blessing to support the noble services of Sri Suttur Math,” he remarked.
Prof. D.S. Sadashivamurthy, in his address, highlighted Dr. Shivashankarappa’s dedication to societal service through his long and distinguished political career, including multiple terms as a state minister. He also lauded Dr. Shivashankarappa’s pivotal role in the growth of the Bapuji Educational Institution in Davanagere, his philanthropic efforts, and his unwavering support for various social and religious organizations across the state.
