Good habits are essential for life – Sri C.P. Ramashesha

Suttur, May 13, 2019: Sri C.P. Ramasheshu, a distinguished figure, emphasized the significance of cultivating good habits as a means to avoid mental stress. Speaking at the ‘Chintana-Manthana’ program organized for spiritual seekers by the Jagadguru Sri Veerasimhasana Mahasamsthana Math, in association with the JSS Mahavidyapeetha and Sri Shivarathreeshwara Dharmika Datti, held at the revered Suttur Srikshetra, Sri C.P. Ramasheshu highlighted the transformative power of positive habits.

During his address to the participants, Sri C.P. Ramasheshu categorized habits into various domains such as collection, preparation, participation, performing arts, and sports. By examining our daily routines, we can gain insight into our habits. He emphasized that good habits are inherently beneficial and contribute to overall well-being. For spiritual practitioners, these habits often encompass activities such as engaging in Satsang (spiritual discourse), self-study, delivering discourses, attending discourses, practicing yoga and meditation, writing and publishing articles, embarking on pilgrimages, and participating in positive discussions.

Drawing inspiration from the renowned philosopher Bertrand Russell, Sri C.P. Ramasheshu quoted, “If we cultivate good habits, we can find happiness in life and create opportunities to celebrate it.” He supported this claim by providing several examples, illustrating how the adoption of positive habits can enhance one’s journey through life.

The ‘Chintana-Manthana’ program served as a platform for introspection and thoughtful deliberation, encouraging individuals to reflect upon their habits and make conscious efforts to nurture those that bring about positive outcomes.
