JSS School NCC Land Army Receives Best Institution Award for the 5th Time

Suttur, February 07, 2020: The JSS High School NCC Land Army has once again been recognized for its outstanding performance. The NCC Land Army, established in 2004, has been consistently training 100 cadets each year. The cadets have participated in numerous national-level camps, showcasing their skills in parade, singing, dance, games, sports, firing, and other activities, earning accolades and bringing pride to the school. They have also actively participated in camps such as Taal Sainik, Republic Day, Trekking, Swachch Bharath, and Shresht Bharat, receiving commendation from all quarters. In recognition of these achievements, the NCC Karnataka and Goa chapters have awarded the prestigious ‘Best Institution’ Award to the NCC school teams.

The award ceremony took place at Christ College in Bengaluru on February 6, 2020, where JSS High School, Suttur, NCC Land Army received the esteemed ‘Best Institution’ Award. Smt. C.P. Nirmala, Headmistress of JSS High School, Suttur, graciously accepted the award from Deputy Director-General, Col. Lalith Kumar Jain.

This remarkable achievement marks the 5th time the school has received this esteemed award. Sri P.T. Rajeev, NCC Group Cdr. Col., Mysuru, Col Rajesh Kumar, NCC Commanding Officer, 13th Karnataka Battalion, administrative officers of the institution, coordinating officers, and heads of various departments have extended their warm congratulations to the NCC team of the school for this remarkable feat.
