Suttur, April 15, 2025: “Belief is the pillar of a family and life,” said Dr. Hemalatha, Principal of Universal Nursing College, Bengaluru, during her address at the Retreat Ayurveda, Speech and Hearing, and Nursing Students Camp held at Suttur Srikshetra.
Speaking to the students, Dr. Hemalatha emphasized the importance of trust and belief in one’s journey. “Life is based on trust. Self-study, parents, and teachers play a crucial role in nurturing this trust. We achieve results only when we have strong belief in God. Let go of negative thinking and approach every task with a positive mindset. Believe in your own capabilities and move forward with confidence,” she advised.
Also addressing the gathering, Dr. Parvathi Venu, Learning Advisor, highlighted the significance of self-confidence in achieving life’s goals. “With self-confidence, anything is possible. Clarity in choices is essential. Often, our strengths remain hidden due to fear. Desires can only be fulfilled through a peaceful and happy mind. Camps like these help in nurturing such qualities,” she observed.
The camp offered a wide range of spiritual and cultural experiences. Participants engaged in mass prayer, yoga sessions, and traditional desi games. In the evening, they attended poojas at the temples of Sri Someshwara, Sri Mahadeshwara, and Sri Veerabhadreshwara, receiving divine blessings. A visit to the goshala provided them with information on various indigenous cattle breeds.
The day concluded with a serene kapilarathi ceremony held on the banks of the Kapila River, followed by a cultural program presented by the students. A total of 256 participants took part in the camp, gaining spiritual insight and personal enrichment.
‘Kapilarathi’ performed on the banks of Kapila river, as part of the Ayurveda, Speech and Hearing camp held for nursing students, at the Sri Sutturkshetra, jointly organized by the Sri Veerasimhasana Mahasamsthana Math, Sri Shivarathreeshwara Dharmika Datti and JSS Mahavidyapeetha.
