JSS Residential School, Suttur secures 99% results in SSLC

Suttur, May 20, 2024: Out of the total number of 497 students of the JSS Residential School, Suttur, who had appeared for SSCL exams in 2023-24, 494 students have passed registering 99% results. 128 students have scored more than 500 marks.

In English medium Harshitha T.D. has secured 600 out of total 625 marks emerging as the topper, followed by Spandana K.R. (595 marks) and Anil Kumar (592 marks) in the 2nd and 3rd places. The school has secured 100% results in English medium.

In Kannada medium, Annapurna Tiligol has emerged as the topper with 594 marks. The total pass percentage in Kannada medium is 99%

Aryan Kumar Mahato, a student from Jharkhand State has scored 110 marks in Kannada, followed by Soorajkumar with 102 marks. A total number of 9 students have scored 125 out of 125 marks in First language Kannada. Likewise, 5 students with Hindi as third language, 2 students with Sanskrit as third language and one student in Social Science have scored 100 marks.

Administrative officer, coordinating officers, Heads of various departments of the school, Headmasters, Teachers, wardens and non-teaching staff have congratulated all the meritorious students.

Rain Effects: Two students of the JSS Ayurveda Medical College were injured after trees fell on them due to the heavy rains that lashed Mysore on Friday evening (on 3rd May 2024)

Although the rain brought relief to the unwavering heat, it caused severe damage to the vehicles and road as trees were uprooted. The students of JSS Ayurveda College are currently being treated at JSS Hospital, Mysore.

Suttur, April 25, 2024: Esteemed author Sri Hari Ravikumar delivered a captivating address on the pursuit of happiness through nature during the final day of the Personality Development camp organized for PG Medical students and Dental Interns. Held at Sri Sutturkshetra on April 24, the event provided invaluable insights into the enduring joy derived from the natural world.

In his enlightening discourse titled “Secret of Happiness,” Sri Hari Ravikumar eloquently expressed, “Supreme happiness is attainable only through our connection with nature. From towering mountains to flowing rivers, from the gentle warmth of the sun to the serene glow of the moon, every aspect of nature offers genuine reasons for human happiness.” He emphasized the fleeting nature of material possessions in contrast to the eternal bliss found in the embrace of nature. Sri Hari Ravikumar urged attendees to immerse themselves in nature’s splendor, advocating for a lifestyle enriched by its beauty and serenity.

Dr. M.V. Balasubramanya, Advisor at Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, echoed these sentiments, underlining the qualities of inspirational leadership. “A true leader possesses clarity, organization, and resilience,” remarked Dr. Balasubramanya. “They navigate both success and failure with equanimity, guiding their followers along the right path.”

Under the benevolent guidance of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the camp served as a platform for participants to share their experiences and happiness. Dr. Purushottam Shastry, Professor at JSS Medical College, presented a comprehensive report on the camp proceedings, while Dr. Manasa delivered an invocation to set the tone for the event. Dr. Vikrant Arora welcomed attendees and skillfully managed the program, ensuring its success. The valedictory program saw heartfelt expressions of joy from participants, including Dr. Deepsika, Dr. Darshan from JSS Medical College, and Dr. Glen Mathew, Dr. Sumukhi S. Rao from JSS Dental College.

Organized under the auspices of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, the event brought together over 115 participants for an enriching experience spanning spiritual, cultural, and educational dimensions.

The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking discourse by Sri Swami Mahamedanandaji of the Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, who articulated the timeless essence of Indian culture. Reflecting on the resilience and continuity of Indian civilization over millennia, he emphasized the cultural roots deeply intertwined with nature’s power.

Complementing this spiritual perspective, Smt. Dr. Veena S. Bhat, Gynaecologist at Nayana Hospital, Bhadravathi, shed light on contemporary healthcare challenges.
