Patience Should Be the Guiding Principle of Life: Sri H.B. Devanna

Suttur, August 22, 2026: “Patience should be the guiding principle of life,” said Sri H.B. Devanna while delivering a discourse on the 11th day of the Shravana month observances at Suttur Srikshetra on August 22.

Sri Devanna said that a person who cultivates peace, patience and restraint in the mind can live happily and harmoniously with everyone. He observed that praise and criticism are inevitable in human life, and one should not react with anger but remain calm and composed.

Referring to the Bhagavad Gita, he said that when Arjuna tells Sri Krishna that attaining yoga in the manner described appears difficult, Sri Krishna assures him that everything is possible through continuous effort and patience.
