Nanjangud, March 4, 2026: The student team of JSS College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Nanjangud brought laurels to the institution by securing second prize in the Men’s Football Tournament held at the Inter-College Kabini Zone level of the University of Mysore on 04.03.2026.
The tournament was conducted at the Pavilion Cricket Ground, Mysuru, in collaboration with Government First Grade College, Bannur. In the final match, the JSS College team put up an excellent performance against the team of Government First Grade College, Nanjangud, and emerged as the runners-up, making the college proud.
The college expressed happiness over the achievement of its students, who have been actively participating in both curricular and co-curricular activities. The institution stated that such accomplishments reflect the students’ dedication, discipline and team spirit, and expressed confidence that, along with academic knowledge, they will grow into responsible citizens of the nation with social commitment and leadership qualities.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. C. S. Honnegowda congratulated the players and appreciated Director of Physical Education Shri P. M. Vikram for providing timely training and guidance to the athletes, helping them progress steadily on the path of success.
The faculty members, non-teaching staff and students of the college also extended their heartfelt congratulations to the team for this commendable achievement.
