Tumakuru, February 28, 2026: As part of the Jatra Mahotsav of Shri Tontada Siddhalingeshwara Swamy at Kaggere Tapokshetra in Kunigal taluk of Tumakuru district, a Special Puja Mahotsav was solemnly conducted on February 23, 2026, at the sacred shrine of Jagadguru Shri Ghanlinga Shivayogi.
On the occasion, elaborate rituals including Rudrabhishek, special decoration, and Mahamangalarati were performed with devotion. The Utsav idol of Shri Tontada Siddhalingeshwara was ceremoniously installed on the revered seat of the Jagadguru.
The Pooja Mahotsav witnessed the participation of officials of the Shri Math and JSS organization, members of the temple management board, the family of Duggahati Veerabhadrappa, and a large number of devotees from Kaggere and nearby villages. Music teachers from Suttur JSS School rendered vachana singing, adding spiritual fervour to the event. Prasad was distributed to devotees following the conclusion of the rituals.
Jagadguru Shri Ghanlinga Shivayogi, the 11th patriarch of the Suttur Shri Math Guruparampara, is remembered for his significant contributions to social development alongside Yediyuru Shri Siddalingeshwara. A revered spiritual leader and literary figure, he enriched the religious and literary fields through the composition of several important vachanas, leaving behind an enduring spiritual legacy.
