Shree Veerabhadraswamy Jayantyotsav Celebrated at Suttur with Devotion and Grandeur

Suttur, September 4, 2025: The Shree Veerabhadraswamy Jayantyotsav was observed with devotion and grandeur on September 2, 2025, at the Shree Veerabhadraswamy Temple in Sri Sutturkshetra. The temple is regarded as the sacred birthplace of Shree Veerabhadraswamy, making the occasion of great historical and spiritual significance. The Jayantyotsav is traditionally celebrated every year on the first Tuesday of Bhadrapada Maasa.

The celebrations began with special poojas, including Rudrabhisheka and other rituals, held both at the Shree Veerabhadraswamy Temple (Gudda) and the temple located within the Shreemath premises at Suttur.

A grand procession of the utsava murthy (processional idol) of Shree Veerabhadraswamy was carried around the temple premises. The vibrant procession featured Rajopachara rituals, the traditional Veeragase performance, and the resonating sounds of Mangalavadya, creating an atmosphere of deep devotion and festivity.

The programme witnessed the participation of Shri S. P. Udayashankar, Administrative Officer, JSS Institution, Suttur, along with hundreds of devotees from Suttur and nearby villages, who gathered in large numbers to offer prayers and seek blessings.
