JSS Inter-Institutions Sports Meet results

Suttur, December 2, 2022: The following students have bagged individual and team prizes in the 3-day JSS Inter-Institutions Sports Meet, held at Sri Suttur Srikshetra, in commemoration of His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji.

Athletics:

Primary School Division: Individual prizes – Under the Boys and Girls category, Yashwanth D.A. and Kum. Sakshi of the JSS Higher Primary School, Suttur, bagged the individual prizes by scoring 13 and 10 points respectively.

Team prize: In the Boys category the students of the JSS Higher Primary School, Suttur, scored 43 points and the Girls scored 37 points and bagged the prize.

High School Division:

Individual prizes: In the Boys category Bhuvan M.N., a student of the JSS High School, Mooganuru scored 15 points and in the Girls category Kum. Amulya P. scored 15 points and won the prize.

Team Prize: Under the Boys category the JSS High School, Suttur boys scored 20 points and the girls category scored 35 points.

Pre-University College Division;

Individual Prizes: In the Boys category, Mahesh A.J. of the JSS PU College, Doddakadanuru scored 10 points and Kum. Pooja of the JSS Women’s PU College, Chamarajanagara scored 10 points and won the prizes.

Team Prize: JSS PU College, Doddakadanuru – While the Boys scored 17 points, the girls scored 29 points and won the prize.

Degree College Division:

Individual Prize: In the Men’s category, Subranil Mandal, a student of the JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, scored 08 points and in the Women’s category Kum. Tanjan Choyi, a student of the JSS Law College, Mysuru scored 08 points and earned individual prizes.

Team Prize: The JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty, Men’s category scored 26 points and in the Women’s category, the JSS Law College, Mysuru, and JSS Women’s College, Saraswathipuram, Mysuru scored 16 points each and shared the prize.

Parade and Major Sports Events

Winners of the parade: Under the Primary School category, the JSS School Hullahalli secured first place. Under High School category, the JSS High School, Horeyala, secured first place. Likewise, under the PU division, the JSS Women’s College, Yalandur won first place and in the Degree College division, the JSS Science and Technical University secured the first place.

Primary School Division

Kabaddi (Boys): JSS Higher Primary School, Suttur (1st place), Rohith H.V. emerged as the best player. In the Girls category, the JSS Higher Primary School, Ramapura, won the first place and the school student Gangotri emerged as the best player.

High School Division: In Kho-Kho, under both Boys and Girls category the students of the JSS High School, Suttur emerged as the winners. While Prakash bagged the best player award in Boys category, Divya M., of Doddakadanuru bagged the best player award in the Girls category.

High School Division: Volleyball – JSS High School, Saraswathipuram (1st place). Rakesh C. (Best Player). Throwball – JSS Public School, JSS TIS Premises, Mysuru (1st place). Ekansh Kiran (Best Player).

PU Colleges Division: a

Men’s: Volleyball – JSS PU College, Ooty Road (1st place), Charan S. (Best Player); Ball Badminton – JSS PU College, Hullahalli (1st place), Gururaj R. (Best Player)

Women’s: Throwball – JSS Women’s PU College, Sarguru (1st place), Sahana (Best Player); Ball Badminton, JSS PU College, Devalapura (1st place), Sowmya B. (Best Player).

PU Colleges Division:

Men’s Volleyball: JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Ooty Road, Mysuru (1st place); Charankumar T. of the Technical Education Academy, Bengaluru emerged as the Best Player. Ball Badminton: JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Ooty Road, Mysuru (1st place), Chandan M., (Best Player)

Women’s: Throwball – JSS Women’s College, Saraswathipuram, Mysuru (1st place), Akshay Urs M. (Best Player); Bal Badminton – JSS Women’s College, Kollegala (1st place), Sinchana T.S.(Best Player).

The heads of all the Departments of the JSS Mahavidyapeetha, teaching and non-teaching staff congratulated all the winners.
