Boys’ Hostel

The Boys’ hostel at Suttur was established in the academic year 2001-02 and His Excellency the President of India Dr. Abdul Kalam inaugurated the Hostel in December 2002. It has facilities such as a well-equipped kitchen, spacious dining halls, a prayer hall, a clinic and well-ventilated dormitories. It provides clean, hygienic and nutritious food to the inmates. A qualified warden, aided by well trained caretakers, ensures the well-being of the children. The hostel accommodates around 2,380 children.

Girls’ Hostel

The sprawling Girls’ Hostel with capacity to accommodate 1,620 girls has been constructed with a view to provide quality accommodation for the girl students. The Hostel, which is a two-storey building, has a total built up area of 12,600 mt. and has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 8 crore. The Hostel has 54 dormitories (each measuring 13×5.5 mt. in dimension), two spacious dining halls (each measuring 21 mt. x 21 mt. in dimension), a prayer hall and beautifully laid out corridors. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances to serve clean and quality food to the inmates. The well-being of the children is taken care by a well-experienced and qualified warden, who is in turn assisted by a dedicated team of caretakers. The hostel will be inaugurated by her Excellency the President of India Smt. Pratibha Patil on 9th May 2009.
