Mysuru, September 29, 2023 – In a heartfelt commemoration of the 108th Jayanti mahotsava of His Holiness Jagadguru Shri Shivrathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, Dr. Rajendra Mahaswamiji’s indelible impact on society was lauded by esteemed speakers. Dr. Pradeep Kumar Hebri, among others, extolled the enduring influence of His Holiness divine spirit, emphasizing its transformative role in nurturing virtuous actions.
Dr. Hebri expressed, “Remembrance of Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji is a pious work. They are always with us. His divine spirit is with us in different forms and engages us in good deeds. The actions of the pious are always conscious. He is the one who guided us and built our lives. That is why they are memorable. His is a life that can be remembered in public.”
Paying tribute to Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji’s exceptional contributions to education, Dr. Hebri stated, “The contribution of the Swamiji to the field of education is remarkable. He established educational institutions to fulfil the educational needs of the people. He established student hostels for the convenience of students. Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji’s contribution to the field of education was full of humanitarian ground. They are not merely mechanical service providers. He did not establish institutions just to impart education. He used to transfer his love and compassion to the students and imbued them with human values.”
The program, presided over by Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, underscored Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji’s visionary approach to education, which aimed at bridging urban-rural disparities. Prof. Sambashivaiah remarked, “Behind all these developments is the insight and vision of the Hon’ble Swamiji. There is a mother’s heart that always strives for the welfare of the society. We, who are in this auspicious occasion, should remember the ideals of the venerable ones.”
Principal Dr. S. Pratibha extended a warm welcome to the attendees, while Ms. Pooja Hegde and Kum. R. Niranjani Bhargava led the gathering in prayer. Dr. L. Vinaykumar provided a moving narration, and Shri S. Somasekhara conveyed thanks on behalf of the organizers.
