Pashu Sakhis Lauded for Their Admirable Work

Suttur, June 24, 2024: The valedictory program of the six-day Third Module Training on integrated cattle management was successfully concluded at the JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Suttur. The event was jointly organized by ICAR JSS KVK, Suttur, in collaboration with the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Mysuru, and Sanjeevini – KSRLPS.

Dr. Nagaraju, Deputy Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Mysuru, presided over the program. In his address, Dr. Nagaraju highlighted the commendable efforts of the Pashu Sakhis in enhancing the state’s daily milk production to 1 lakh litres. He attributed this success to timely drought precautionary measures and the distribution of crop seeds, which have resulted in an abundant fodder supply and increased milk production. Dr. Nagaraju praised the enthusiasm of Pashu Sakhis in distributing crop seeds and vaccinating cattle, which has significantly contributed to this year’s good milk yield. He encouraged the Pashu Sakhis to leverage the training provided at JSS KVK and disseminate the knowledge to other farmers.

Dr. Jnanesh B.N., Senior Scientist and Head of JSS KVK, Suttur, emphasized the role of programs like Pashu Sakhi in women empowerment. He stressed the importance of equipping Pashu Sakhis with the necessary skills to produce high-quality milk, which would not only earn them recognition but also substantially benefit farmers across the district.

Dr. Divya H.V., a Subject Expert, expressed her belief that such programs enable women to achieve social and financial independence. She urged the women farmers to continue their diligent work with the Department and extend their support to more farmers in the future.

The event saw participation from Dr. Mallikarjunswamy, Dr. Sharanabasava (Training Coordinator), Dr. Rakshiraj (Subject Expert, KVK), and more than 60 Pashu Sakhis. Their collective efforts and dedication were lauded, marking the program as a significant step towards sustainable agricultural development and women empowerment.

Live Telecast of PM Kisan Samman Yojana at JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Suttur

Suttur, June 20, 2024: The ICAR JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Suttur, successfully organized a live telecast of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’s 17th installment subsidy release, held at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. The event saw a notable attendance of around 80 participants, including Senior Scientists, Heads of various departments of JSS KVK, staff members, Agriculture Department officials, Veterinary Department officials, progressive farmers, women farmers, and trainees from the ‘Pashu Sakhi’ program.

Dr. B.N. Jnanesh, Senior Scientist and Head of ICAR JSS KVK, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of the Krishi Samman Nidhi Yojana. He urged farmers who have not yet availed of the scheme’s benefits to register on the concerned portal and take advantage of the available support.

The event highlighted the collaborative efforts of the agricultural community and government officials in enhancing the welfare of farmers through direct financial support. This initiative continues to play a crucial role in sustaining and promoting agricultural development across the country.

JSS High School NCC Airwing Troupe Wins Overall Prize at Annual Camp

Heads of various departments of the JSS Educational Institution, Suttur, and NCC Officer, seen with the JSS High School, Suttur, NCC Airwing cadets, who won overall prize in the 10-days Annual Camp organized by the 4th Karnataka Air Squadron NCC Unit, held at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mysuru.

Suttur, June 18, 2024: The JSS High School, Suttur, NCC Airwing Troupe has won the overall prize at the annual camp organized by the 4th Karnataka Air Squadron NCC Unit. The 10-day camp was held at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Mysuru.

The JSS High School Airwing Troupe excelled in several competitions, securing first place in the Girls Throwball competition, drill, tug of war, and solo dance competitions. They also achieved second place in the group singing competition, leading to their victory in the overall prize category.

The camp saw participation from more than 500 cadets representing 16 schools from Suttur, Gundlupet, Mysuru, Mandya, and other regions. The cadets engaged in various training programs, including the manufacturing and flying of model light aircraft.

Administrative officers, coordinating officers, heads of various departments, headmasters, and staff of JSS High School, Suttur, have extended their congratulations to the winners for their outstanding achievements.
