Selected for District-level Yoga and Chess competitions

Winners of the Taluk-level Yoga and Chess Competition of the JSS Higher Primary School, Suttur, organized by the Department of Public Instructions, Nanjangud. They will now represent the school in the District-level competitions. The Headmaster and teachers of the school have congratulated the winners.

Winners of Taluk-level Chess Tournament

Chess Champions: The students of JSS High School, Suttur, have won the Taluk-level Chess Tournament organized by the Department of Public Education, in Nanjangud, and gained eligibility to participate in the District-level Chess Tournament. The teachers of the school who trained them are seen in the picture, along with the Head Master and the winners of the tournament.

Winners of Taal Sainik and NCC Annual Camp

The NCC Land Army cadets of the JSS High School, Sutturu, participated in the Taal Sainik and annual camp held by the University of Mysore and won overall prize. Sri Sampath, Sri Veerabhadraiah, Coordinating Officers, Sri G.S. Shivamallu, Head Master and Smt. C.P. Nirmala, NCC Officer, of the school are seen in the picture along with the cadets.

Suttur JSS School Students Association Inaugurated

Suttur, July 13, 2019: Dr. Panduranga, Deputy Director (Admin) of the Department of Public Instructions, Mysuru District, expressed his appreciation for the JSS Residential School in Sutturu, which not only provides free education but also imparts cultural and traditional values to its students.

Presiding over the inaugural function of the school’s Students Association, Dr. Panduranga emphasized the importance of respecting parents, teachers, and elders. He urged the students to remember their roots and the school that shaped them, and to strive for qualitative education that would enable them to become good citizens and make meaningful contributions to society.

Sri C. Mallik, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nanjangud Sub Division, addressed the students and encouraged them to develop good habits and work towards creating a bright future.

As the chief guest, industrialist Sri H.M. Puttamadappa Vidye of Honnahalli Village, Chamarajanagar Taluk, highlighted the value of education as a wealth that cannot be stolen, and stressed the importance of educated individuals becoming assets to the country.

The event was attended by Sri Maalangi Suresh, Sri Somashekargowda, Coordinating Officer Sri G.L. Tripurantaka, and heads of various departments of the JSS Residential School, among others.

The program began with an invocation by the students, followed by a welcome address by Sri Dayanandaswamy. Sri M. Paramesh delivered the vote of thanks, and Sri S. Chandramouleshwara served as the compere.
