Mysuru, June 28, 2022: Sri C. Jagannath, District Skill Development Officer, emphasized the ample opportunities available for today’s youth to harness their skills and embark on successful entrepreneurial journeys. He inaugurated a five-day workshop titled “Nano Enterprises and Skill Development,” organized by JSS College of Arts, Commerce, and Science, Mysuru, in collaboration with the start-up and IQAC.
During his address, Sri Jagannath urged degree and post-graduate degree holders to cultivate innovative skills and aspire to become entrepreneurs. He encouraged students to focus on skill development aligned with the advancements in technology and market sectors worldwide. Sri Jagannath emphasized the need for multidisciplinary knowledge to understand industry requirements and develop the necessary skills. He highlighted the various opportunities provided by the Central and State Governments, enabling personal growth and entrepreneurial success. Sri Jagannath advised students to assess their capacities, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges before venturing into entrepreneurship.
Presiding over the program, Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the college, emphasized the significance of entrepreneurship, skill development, and training programs. He stressed that more than 50% of the youth population in the country should identify their strengths and pursue suitable careers. Prof. Sambashivaiah encouraged the youth to consider starting their own ventures and becoming entrepreneurs, highlighting the importance of understanding challenges and proper management. He emphasized the need for continuous research, evaluation, and resource development for entrepreneurial success.
The program was attended by Dr. R.N. Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Spoorthi Performance Solutions, Mysuru, and Dr. M.P. Vijayendra Kumar, Principal of the college. Kum. Sushmita presented an invocation, and Dr. Sindhu extended a warm welcome to the guests and participants. Dr. M. Mahadevaswamy skillfully conducted the program, and Dr. Rajesh delivered the vote of thanks.
The workshop aimed to inspire and equip youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue entrepreneurship, fostering a spirit of innovation and enterprise among students.
