Use your skills and become successful entrepreneurs: Sri S. Jagannath

Mysuru, June 28, 2022: “There are ample opportunities for today’s youth to utilize their skills and become successful entrepreneurs. Degree and post-graduate degree holders should develop innovative skills and aim to become entrepreneurs,” observed Sri C. Jagannath, District Skill Development Officer, Mysuru.

He inaugurated a five-day workshop on the topic, “Nano Enterprises and Skill Development,” organized by the JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Ooty Road, Mysuru, under the auspices of the start-up and IQAC.

In his address, he said, “students should focus more on developing skills keeping in mind the developments happening in the technology and market sectors across the world. Students require multidisciplinary knowledge to understand the requirements and develop the required skills. You can also achieve personal growth by utilizing the various opportunities that are made available to you by the Central and State Governments. Try to understand your capacities, weaknesses, opportunities, and problems before becoming entrepreneur. This way you can emerge as successful entrepreneurs in the sector in which you have skills,” he explained.

Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the College, presided over the program. In his address, he explained the significance of entrepreneurship, and skill development and training programs. “More than 50% of the youth population of our country require to identify their area of strength and select the right career. More youth should think of commencing start-ups or becoming entrepreneurs. For that, you should also be aware of the challenges and dangers. Continuous research, knowledge of evaluation, resource development required for the enterprise, and proper management will lead you towards success,” he observed.

Dr. R.N. Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Spoorthi Performance Solutions, Mysuru, and Dr. M.P. Vijayendra Kumar, Principal of the College, were present. Kum. Sushmita rendered an invocation, and Dr. Sindhu welcomed the guests and gathering. Dr. M. Mahadevaswamy mastered the program, and Dr. Rajesh gave a vote of thanks.
