Suttur, February 26, 2022: His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, a revered spiritual leader, emphasized that becoming a seer is a result of blessings received from virtuous actions in previous lives. He shared this profound insight during the religious meeting held at Suttur Srikshetra to celebrate the coronation ceremony of Sri Gurusiddaswami, the new pontiff of the Kabbahalli Sripattada matha, a branch of the esteemed Suttur Srimath. The event was attended by several esteemed seers, including Sri Channabasava Swamiji of the Kabbahalli Math, along with devotees and well-wishers.

In his enlightening discourse, His Holiness Sri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji likened the life of a seer to a see-saw, where every move they make is akin to walking on the edge. He emphasized that a seer should dedicate their life to society, relinquish materialistic pursuits, and lead a religious and responsible existence. The spiritual leader stressed that the mind and soul of a seer should constantly strive for self-realization. While acknowledging the differences in traditions and rituals across religions, His Holiness reiterated that the ultimate truth remains the same. He commended the efforts of the JSS Institution in creating awareness among students and teachers about the importance of spirituality and religion.

The auspicious occasion also provided an opportunity to reflect on the history of the Kabbahalli Sripattada matha and its previous pontiffs. His Holiness Sri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji fondly recalled how Sri Channabasava Swamiji took over as the pontiff at the tender age of eight, receiving the blessings, guidance, and support of Jagadguru Mantramarshi Swamiji and HH Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji of the Suttur Srimath.

The coronation ceremony witnessed the traditional renaming of Sri K.M. Mahesh, son of Sri K.V. Mahadevaswamy and Smt. Susheelamma, to Sha. Bra. Sri Gurusiddaswamiji.
