Suttur, January 24, 2019: “Remembering and having the blessings of holymen will help everybody to introspect,” opined Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.
He participated in the thanksgiving programme organized at Suttur for the activists who conducted the 1059th Jayanthi Mahotsav of Adijagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Swamiji in Shivamogga. In his blessings, he expressed his view that, the sincerity, devotion, discipline, and interest that the people of Shivamogga exhibited at the programme was exemplary.
Sri B. S. Yeddyurappa, former Chief Minister, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and patron of the Jayanthi programme Committee in Shivamogga, in his address expressed his view that initially they were worried whether the programme would attract the people in Shivamogga. But thousands of people thronged the programme, and each and every programme including the exhibition, seminar, unity jatra, and all the dais programmes were successful with the efforts of all the organizers and the divine blessings of Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, he said.
While Sri Basava Marulasidda Swamiji of the Basava Kendra, Shivamogga, appreciated the successful organizing of the Jayanthi Mahotsav, Dr. Sri Mahanta Swamiji of Jade Sri Samsthana Math opined that the organizing of the Jayanthi Mahotsav in Shivamogga had increased the confidence and devotion among the people.
Sri S. Rudregowda, Committee President and MLC lauded the efforts of the organizers in instilling a religious and cultural feeling among the youth.
Sri Barandur Prakash, Member, Jayanthi Committee expressed his view that the programme provided the people an opportunity for proper utilization of their inner strength.
Nagashri Pratap, former Chamarajanagara ZP President expressed her happiness for the women who participated in various programmes held as part of the Jayanthi Mahotsav.
Tributes were paid to Sri Sri Sri Shivakumara Mahaswamiji of Siddaganga Math, Tumakuru, who passed away recently.
