Here, co-curricular activities and sports go hand in hand with academics. Music, dance, drama, painting, debate, and other art forms are encouraged, and our students actively participate in inter-school and intra-school competitions. Indoor and outdoor sporting materials are provided. Training is given in volleyball, throwball, chess, kho-kho and kabaddi. Special band-set training is also provided for the children.
One of our proudest students Janavi V Madhu bagged the Champion of the Champion award in International Yoga Champion Competition held at Mysuru.

JSS Higher Primary School at Metagalli is one of the pioneering institutions of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, established in the garden city of Mysuru. It was founded in the year 1985 with the divine blessings and support of His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivaratri Rajendra Mahaswamiji and His Holiness Sri Shivaratri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.
