JSS AHER in Mauritius was established in the year 2018 with support of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru and JSS AHER, Mysuru. The objective of establishing JSS AHER in Mauritius is motivated by the legacy and sustaining principles of the founding fathers of the Sri Suttur Math and the JSSMVP with a view to provide post-secondary education and training to enhance the quality of life of the people, with special emphasis in Mauritius and the African region.

The University is registered with the Higher Education Commission, Mauritius and it is the first institution in the African region to get ACPE Precertification (for pharmacy course). JSS AHER, Mauritius focuses on the medical and health related studies. The departments under JSS AHER are as follows:

JSS Academy, Mauritius

The JSS Academy in Mauritius, Droopnath Ramphul Avenue, Bonne Terre, Vacoas, was established in 2002 on eight acres of land with 14,689 sq.mts of built-up area with necessary infrastructure, costing more than half a billion Mauritian Rupees, to improve the quality of post-secondary education in Mauritius.

The JSS Academy, Mauritius is the first Higher Education Institution operating as an Engineering College in Mauritius since 2006. It has now diversified its portfolio of programmes to include non-engineering ones as well. The JSS Academy is managed by the JSS Education Foundation Pvt. Ltd, Mysore, India, which runs under the aegis of JSS Mahavidyapeetha (JSSMVP).

The college has well-furnished classrooms, well- equipped laboratories/workshops as per the norms laid by the university curriculum and respective and regulatory bodies. The JSS Academy, Mauritius is approved by the Government of Mauritius, registered, and accredited by Tertiary Education Commission (TEC), Mauritius.
