About Us
JSS Composite PU College for Women, Yelandur, Chamarajanagara was started in 2003. Yelandur is a place for well-known scholars, nature lovers and artists. The place has many temples and buildings built during Deewan’s period. Even though it had an attractive historical background, the progress in the field of education was comparatively low. Realizing the need for an educational institution at Yelandur, JSS Mahavidyapeetha established a Pre- University College for Women.
We are committed to educating and enlightening the rural mass and helping them develop to be better citizens of the country. The college has a conducive atmosphere that helps for the healthy growth of the students. The college has a fine infrastructure which includes all the necessary facilities. With each passing year, the institution is progressing both academically and non-academically.

Students’ cultural union conducts numerous activities throughout the year. Students participate in the JSS inter-collegiate cultural, and sports competitions held at Suttur every year. They also participate in the youth festival organized by the Department of Sports and Youth Development. Every year college brings out a magazine called “PRANATI”. National festivals and other days of importance are observed. Dignitaries are invited to undertake seminars. Educational tours are conducted every year.
