The JSS PU College, Dharwad, was established with the blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji and the constant & endearing support of the MVP management. The college is recognized by the Government of Karnataka. It has a dedicated team of teaching and non-teaching staff who strive for the overall development of the students. We aim at providing value integrated education, and our highly experienced faculties take note of each child and identify their areas of strength and weakness and help them sort it.

Our college is located in a picturesque environment. It has a good infrastructure with spacious classrooms, a well-stocked library, full-fledged computer, and science labs. There is a vast playground and equipment for sports and cultural activities. The students have been performing well in the board exams and thus have brought laurels to the institution.

Principals who have served in this college: Smt. R. Jayakumari, Smt. Lalitha Srinivas, Sri Shivalingappa, Sri Subramanyam, Smt. Chellam, Sri. Mahadeva and Sri S. Shanthappa (incumbent principal).

Activities

Co-curricular activities are vital for the overall development of the students. We guide and encourage our students to pursue and excel in their areas of interest. Sports and games help in honing the students’ mental and physical health. We have both indoor and outdoor sports materials.

We also conduct annual sports meet, and our students participate in the sports competitions organized as a part of Suttur Jathra Mahotsav.
