Sanskrit is an ancient and sweetest of all the languages in the world. It’s the mother language for all. It has a history of a thousand years and is the medium of science and knowledge. Sanskrit is the root for all the languages to protect and encourage this sacred language Sri Suttur Mutt has opened many Sanskrit Patashalas and colleges and has been teaching Sanskrit to thousands of students.
“ Vidyamrutha mashnuthe” “ Vidyadhanam Sarvadanath Pradanam” keeping this slogan in mind 25th peetadyaksha of suttur mutt which has thousand years of glorious history. His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamy is happy to open Sanskrit college 2013 in Suttur and to give education for rural students. There are three divisions in the colleges

Subjects :- Kannada, English, Tarka Shastra, Indian History, Upanishads, Anubhava Sutra, Visheshartha Prakashika, Shivadwaita paribasha, Shivadwaita Manjari, Siddanta Kaumudi, Siddanta Shikhamani, Kriyasara, Lingadarana Chandrika, Kuvalayananda, Kavyaprakasha, Auchithya Vichara Charcha, Natya Shastram, Kavya Meemamsa, Vakrokti Jeevitham, Leelavathi, Beejaganitham, Suryasiddanta, Bruhajataka, kshetramiti, Ketakiganitham, Muhurtha chintamani, Phaladeepika, Chamatkara Chintamani Subjects are taught. the total strength of 175 students have been studying Sanskrit besides this, Bhagavadgeetha and simple Sanskrit will also be taught.
During the year 2017-18, the college got excellent results. The Sanskrit classes are held regularly and sincerely.
