JSS Voluntary Body Donation Association was established in 1996 with the objective of assisting individuals who wish to donate their bodies to the medical field for teaching and research purposes.

We accept body donations regardless of the age, sex, or caste of registered individuals, provided the death occurs due to natural causes.

The department actively ensures the effective and meaningful utilization of donated bodies for various cadaveric workshops that helps for postgraduate education and skills training in surgical and allied disciplines, in addition to undergraduate teaching through dissection.

Awareness on the significance of body donation program is spread among the public through various media platforms, including newspapers, radio, television, and events like the Suttur Jathra.
