Grand Celebrations of Adijagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji’s 1060th Jayanthi at Suttur

Suttur, December 24, 2019: The 1060th Jayanthi celebrations of Adijagadguru Paramapujya Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji took place in the divine presence of Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, along with esteemed pontiffs from various maths, ministers, MPs, MLAs, and other dignitaries. The event was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion.

Over 100 pontiffs from various maths, including Kanakapura, Vatalu, Hosamath, Harave, Kuderu, Belimath, Mallanamoole, Maadahalli, Kunduru, Neelakantaswamy math, Gavadagere, Benakanahalli, Chikkatuppuru, Alamatii, Sooralli, Chunchanahalli, and Naviluru maths, along with Haraguru Charamurhty Swamiji, Minister Sri V. Somanna, MP Sri Pratap Simha, MLA Sri Yateendra Siddaramaiah, Sri N. Mahesh, Sri Harshavardhan, Sri G.T. Devegowda, Sri C.S. Puattaraju, Sri B.J. Puttaswamy, former ministers Sri N. Narendraswamy, Sri M. Shivanna, Smt. Geetha Mahadevaprasad, former MP Sri R. Dhruvanarayan, former MLAs Sri C. Guruswamy, Prof. K.R. Mallikarjunappa, Sri Vasu, Sri Balaraju, Sri M.K. Somashekar, Sri A.R. Krishnamurthy, Sri Thontadaraya, former ZP President Smt. Nagashri Pratap, Sri H. Venkatesh, Sri Mahadevaiah, and others graced the occasion.

The grand procession of Adijagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji traversed the main thoroughfares of Suttur, accompanied by various folk performances, including Nandi Dhwaja, Veeragase, Mangalavaadya, Kombu-Kahale, School Bands, NCC, Veeramakkala Kunita, and folk teams. The JSS Lalithakala team presented vachana recitals, while Sri Siddarama Kesapura enthralled the audience with a light music program.

Minister V. Somanna unveiled the 2020 table calendar published by JSS Mahavidyapeetha during the festivities.

The dignitaries extended their warm wishes to Dr. Siddalinga Shivacharya Mahaswamiji of Vatalu on his 71st birthday.

On this auspicious occasion, over 50 children received Shivadeeksha.

Enthusiastic participation was witnessed by thousands of people from Mysuru, Chamarajanagara, Mandya, Hassan, Ramanagara, Bengaluru, and other districts in the exuberant Jayanthi celebrations.
